In 2014, besides the World Cup, Fortress will hostthe International Biotechnology Symposium, bringing together 2,000 scientists worldwide,including researchers from private companies.

The direction of the symposium has sent a letter to the scientist Osvaldo Carioca Ceará,UFC-CENEA coordinator, who relayed to SenatorInacio Arruda, who gave it to the Minister of S & T,Mercadante, suggesting the capital of Ceara tohost the event.

This is one of the three most important scientific events of the world.
