By 50 votes to 12 against, the Legislative Assembly of Minas Gerais approved today in the second round request of Governor Antonio Anastasia (PSDB) and gave exclusive delegation to enact laws to carry out a new administrative reform in the state.
With delegation, the Legislature waived the right to participate in this reform, under protest from the opposition. The delegation is a kind of carte blanche to the governor and the executive prevents only the case of budgetary matters and the organization of other organs and powers of the state.
