Slaughter in Brazilian school

According to CBN, two hooded men entered a school in São Paulo and killed five children.

RecordTV reported at 12:50 that there was a possibility that a civilian police officer, who passed by the school, heard the first shots, entered and killed the two marksmen. The official information is that they killed themselves.

The PM has already confirmed ten deaths. Of these, at least four are students and died on the spot, as well as two school officials. Two other teenagers were rescued but died at the hospital. The two marksmen also died on the spot.

At least thirty rounds of .38 caliber revolver were made. According to reports, the shooters would be former students, expelled from the State School Raul Brazil. PM does not confirm this information.

At least 17 people were injured. The Suzano Municipal Emergency Room already receives children with minor injuries. More serious cases were referred to the Hospital das Clínicas de São Paulo, as well as hospitals in Mogi das Cruzes and Itaquaquecetuba.

The attack began around 9:30. The Military Police found inside the school a beast - spearguns gun - bottles that appear to be Molotov cocktails and a wired suitcase, which can be an explosive device. The PM bomb squad was called to the scene.

Shortly before the shots were fired at the school, the PM was called to attend another occurrence in the region: the same shooters fired at the owner of a car dealership. The man would be the uncle of one of the boys.

According to the Military Police, a car was heading for the first call when police officers heard the children screaming at school.

Students say at least one of the shooters was dressed as a character in the video game Fortnite - a popular shooting game among children and teenagers.

A 15-year-old student said the attack occurred during the break and that one of the criminals had a gun and the other a knife. "I went to the board and there were a lot of dead people on the floor. They screamed, but I did not understand what it was."

Another student said: "We thought it was a bomb. But then we saw a person falling on the stairs and soon realized they were shots."

A teacher told Estadão: "We heard shots, I was in the classroom at the time of the break, I thought they were bombs, and when I realized they were shots I was there, I only left when the police arrived 20 minutes later."

Governor João Doria arrived at the scene at 11:50 and announced that the names of the victims will be announced at 2:00 p.m. Doria left the area at 12:15 under shouts of protest.

The Raul Brasil State School, in the center of Suzano, metropolitan region of São Paulo, serves 1,051 students from the sixth grade of elementary education to the third year of high school.
